For immediate status, contact detention staff because online booking and release data can lag by about four hours. Central Booking handles centralized intake in Olathe, while New Century is the companion adult detention location.

Requesting Sheriff Records
Central Records is the proper route for an incident report, booking record, or a photograph that is not available through an official online interface. Kansas open-records exemptions can limit what the office releases.

Report copies are generally estimated within three business days. The first five printed pages are free, later pages cost $0.35 each, and a printed photograph costs $5.50. Staff time is charged at the actual hourly rate. The Sheriff requires payment by cash or check before access and does not accept cards for these requests.
Warrants and Court Results
The Sheriff’s Warrant Division can receive warrant information at 913-715-5212. A person concerned about their own warrant should contact an attorney or the issuing court, not attempt to arrange surrender through this site. The Johnson County District Court and Kansas court portal hold the filed case and later disposition, which may differ from booking-stage allegations.
What Messages Cannot Change
This site cannot remove a government record, edit a JIMS entry, take down a third-party page, or give legal advice. Contact the originating agency about factual errors. Questions about sealing or expungement should go to the court, the Johnson County District Court Self Help Center, or a qualified Kansas attorney.
